Why are some people so obsessed about their job or career?

The devil roams the earth like a lion waiting to devour you .....do you think it would be a shame that the new testament and the old talk about the lust of riches make men worship other things than God? Do you think the devil would want us to know he has made wanting the newest and the best (standing on the hill and offering kingdoms to worship him)the easiest thing to do all you have to do is give up all the gifts that God has bestowed upon you or aleast ignore them so you can get better and more stuff and they won't love you if you don't buy them that new game or take em to the mall to shop for shoes etc...we are teaching our children to worship things and this is what the devil has done slowly to not make all us Christians not realize that we are serving the wrong God. We have given our kids things and sent them to school and their Church groups and never ask what did you learn today or who did you help today? We do not teach children the value of others in our lives when all we have time for is ourselves and what we do for honor(this means what we do so others can see we can provide and makeup for all the time we have taken from our families) And Church now days are like big nice country club where everyone goes and you really do not have to socialize because there is enough stuff for all to do and feel somewhat connected....What happened to the minister that saw the boy next door everyday and tried to lead him down the right path by talking to him?Church are filled with people who feel good about where they are going and try to help others come to their Church but don't ask too many questions cause we have a cl to teach, We help send money and food and people to other countries but we have children in our own neighborhoods who are dying from gangs and abuse and hunger and the Church people say well if they would come to our Church we could help them. Also there is old people that are put in nursing home left to die because no one wants to bother with the care cause they are too busy. So the world as a whole can be sinning with their time for profit but the Churches are just leaving people out in the world to deal with the hurt of not knowing if anyone cares.You are on the sides so you can see and watch for people who stumble God has given you patience and made you humble so you do not walk in front or in back but you are sure footed on the side to help catch those who are weak and need a hand to steady them not to carry them just to steady them...God has given you the gifts of listening and caring I know you feel you are lost in all the other important work but when you wash feet of those in need God notices that more than all the glorious shows
