Why are my hands and feet cold?

I just started feeling really ill when I woke up this morning. My throat hurts and I have a headache. Last time I checked, my temperature was 100.1, but that was right after I took some cold pills with fever reducer. But now my entire body is hot...it feels like i am laying in a tanning bed...but my hands and feet feel like ice! Does anyone know what could be wrong? I've never had this issue before...so I don't know...
